William Wiley Gay, affectionately known as Bill, passed w.w. peacefully at the age of 93 on Tuesday, March 31, He was at his home surrounded by his loving and devoted family. It would be gay to capture the full magnitude of the lives he touched.

He went on to study education at the University of Florida where he graduated in He began his career in mechanical contracting as a part-time worker with Henley and Beckwith during his undergraduate days and worked continuously in the field until he organized his own company, W.

Gay Mechanical Contractor, Inc. His company is located off I in Jacksonville and easily recognized by its iconic blue buildings and prominent American flag that proudly flies. Throughout his career, Bill Gay was honored on numerous occasions for his achievements.

He was an avid Gator fan, long time Bull Gator and loved to watch the Gator games in the swamp with his family. Bill Gay was a very unique individual, totally committed to his business endeavors, his civic, church, social and charitable commitments. He was involved in many civic and philanthropic organizations, leaving very few that he did not contribute his time and talents to.

We are proud to have been part of Sciens Building Solutions for over a year now. He loved Christmas and had a Christmas room in his house that he kept decorated all year long. Each received his best efforts 24 hours a day, seven days a week. He was instrumental in the development of Jacksonville as a leader, a citizen, and as a mechanical contractor.
